Is it good? Yeah. Is it noisy? Yeah. Would I come back? Yeah. Among the many dim sum options in Flushing, “Good Fortune” is a good gathering place for large parties who want to try a wide variety of dim sum dishes. The dim sum carts roll by periodically while one can also walk up to the kitchen counter to pick up specific dim sum plates of it doesn’t roll around in the carts. There is also an a-la-carte ordering for noodles, rice, and other specialty dishes. The place can be quite noisy because the acoustics bounce every which way. The bathrooms are something to go in and out as quick as you can and not stay any longer. Limited parking in the rear.

Classic banquet hall dim sum, throwback for anyone with 90s nostalgia of plates of food stacked and people pressing food on you. The food is OK, some of the shrimp dishes are really meaty, but other dishes are low on salt. Also they don't bring vegetable dishes around much. I know it's low bang for your buck but damn some gai lan or you chou makes dim sum so much better. Service is better than what others say. It wouldn't fly in Texas but it's very appropriate for NYC.

We visited Good Fortune on a Sunday morning for brunch with family while in town, and it was the perfect spot! Our family recommended it as the place for dim sum, and it definitely lived up to the hype. From the outside, it might seem like a small, casual spot, but inside, it opens up to a large, banquet-style space that reminded me of restaurants in China. They have a variety of table sizes to accommodate groups both big and small, which worked great for our family gathering. The dim sum carts were constantly coming by, offering all the classics. I was excited to find my favorites, especially the black bean pork ribs with rice – everything was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. We also brought along a birthday cake, and the staff was totally accommodating, letting us enjoy it right there. It made for a wonderful family celebration before our drive back to Canada. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic dim sum experience!

If I decide to review, it will always be 5 stars, as long as the staff is great, the food was yummy and the experience was great, it will always be 5 stars. So just one thing that did concern me, when we had our glasses, they were not as clean as they should be, we told them to give us new glassware, and they did without hesitation and were very polite. Everything afterwards was perfect so that's important to note. The food was awesome, the staff was awesome, it was fast, easy and presentation was top notch. I tried my best to control how much I ate, but failed with a smile and full belly.

Decent Dim Sum and away from downtown Flushing. Larger variety overall and very spacious however this restaurant is very loud due to so many patrons. They do also have a take out section to pick up Dim Sum and assorted roast meats. I recommend parking on nearby streets since free and avoid the chaotic valet parking they offer.
